THE Knowledge

CMS management

Distinguishing your organisation from an ever-developing market can prove difficult at times, especially when more companies employ increasingly competitive marketing methods to capture the audiences attention. While the production of online content does result in positive engagement, the commitment to this marketing activity is what makes it successful - This is why Barrett Dixon Bell, a Manchester based B2B marketing agency, established THE Knowledge. The online publication is an example of thought leadership, offering its audience an informed source of micro and macro marketing trends within the B2B industry.

My responsibilities while working on the online publication include management and development of the domain. Regular system and plugin updates are implemented to upkeep technical site health and to avoid hindering user experience.

During my time within the internal marketing team, I have uploaded monthly content and mentored team members over the importance and practises of SEO. This involves the continuous adjustments needed to better site performance, visibility and user experience of the site.

The distribution of the publication is managed through automated email journeys using the agency's CRM software. An automated system was designed to filter out unengaged contacts based on a list of criteria, these users do not receive an email notifying them of the latest Knowledge launch as their inclusion will only result in lower engagement metrics later used in reports.
